Following the First Minister’s announcements on Friday 31st July, we welcomes the news below. ‘If conditions remain favourable, from 10 August: ‘Swimming pools, indoor fitness studios, gyms, spas and indoor leisure centres will be able to re-open.’ BowlsWales are working collaboratively with the National Governing Bodies to finalise the Indoor Guidelines and intend to distribute as soon as possible. Joint Statement from BowlsWales and National Governing Bodies
Statement-03/08/2020 BowlsWales met with all the National Governing Bodies for bowls on 20th July to agree a way forward for the administration and organisation of the sport in Wales. In a positive meeting it was unanimously agreed to establish a working party with equal representation from Bowls Wales and the National Governing Bodies to explore potential amendments to the Articles of Association for BowlsWales, prior to recruiting for the vacant Director posts at Bowls Wales.

BowlsWales Covid-19 Update-14th July 2020 Following the First Minister’s announcements on Friday 10th July, BowlsWales welcomes the news below. ‘The Welsh Government is making changes to the regulations to allow larger gatherings of up to 30 people outdoors only where these are organised and supervised by a responsible person for sports and other leisure activities and classes.’ The number of people allowed on each rink is governed by current legislation and restrictions on adhering to social distancing.
