Following the Welsh Government announcement this afternoon, from 15th January, restrictions to outdoor events and gatherings will change, where by 500 people can participate and 500 can spectate. Welsh Government announcement 22/12/2021
Following the Welsh Government announcement this afternoon, Wales will move to Alert Level 2 from Sunday 26th December at 6am. (Wales Coronavirus Control Plan – https://gov.wales/coronavirus-control-plans ). The First Minister has confirmed that Wales will move to full Alert Level 0 this Saturday 7 August. BowlsWales and the National Governing Bodies (WBA, WWBA, WIBA, WLIBA, WCGBA, WSMBA) welcome the Welsh Government’s movement to bring forward the easing of restrictions and that in doing so they have sought to prioritise sport and exercise. Welsh Government announcement, 30th November- Update
Following today’s Welsh Government announcement there is no change to participating in bowls. Leisure facilities (indoors and outdoors) will remain open. The First Minister specifically stated that access to sport facilities was being protected because of the important benefits to mental well-being associated with exercise. There are no changes to the regulations for sport and exercise, except that ice rinks will be closed. However, pubs, cafes, restaurants, and bars will have to close by 6pm and will not be allowed to serve alcohol. You can find our guidelines here.
