Inverclyde Indoor Bowls Club (Glasgow) hosted the Under 18 Mixed British Isles Championships in early October. The two day event saw top teams from teams from England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales compete across all disciplines – Singles, Pairs, Triples & Fours. Wales had a very successful trip to Glasgow coming home with two Bronze Medals and a Silver Medal. Fours silver medallists: Tom Sims, Jack Mounty, Oliver Witchell and Tegan Rees. The climax to the 2018/2019 indoor season once again combined the WIBA/WLIBA Junior Competitions alongside the WIBA Competitions finals. This year the finals were held at Earlswood Indoor Bowls Club near Swansea over the weekend of 12th, 13th & 14th April. Pictured are the winners of the respective competitions. Sunday 13th May should have marked the start of the Welsh Junior campaign for the 2018 British Junior County title. Due to the group arrangement this year, Wales are in a group of five. This meant our Juniors had an open date. However, the opportunity to get all potential players together for a friendly was too good to miss and this was held at the Oval Bowling Club, Llandudno.
