BowlsWales Mission Statement
Bowls in Wales will be an inclusive sport that welcomes and enables everyone to start, stay and succeed in Bowls.
Bowls Wales Governance
BowlsWales is recognised as the organising body for the sport in Wales and is committed to its development through effective governance and professional administration. To ensure we continuously improve the way the sport is managed, we will comply with the guidelines as set out in the Governance and Leadership Framework for Wales:
“The Governance and Leadership Framework for Wales (GLFW) has been created by the Welsh Sports Sector, for the Welsh Sports Sector. The aim of the GLFW is to take the Welsh Sports Sector from good to excellent.” (Sport and Recreation Alliance).
It is important that we continue to prioritise Safeguarding, Equality and Inclusion, for us to protect and progress the sport and its participants. This requires robust structures to protect the interests of all stakeholders in the sport.
This section will continuously be updated over the coming months as the Board of BowlsWales works to improve and, where required, create governance documentation to make our sport the best it can be.
Based on guidance and best practice from Sport Wales, we will put all relevant procedures and protocols in this area of the website, so that all NGB’s, Clubs and individuals have access to the information. These documents will be reviewed on a timely basis, and distributed to the National Governing Bodies and Associated Bodies who are responsible for ensuring they are adopted as good practice across their area of the sport.
If you have any queries, or are looking for a document that is not listed, please get in touch.
