Peter Brill, long serving Safeguarding lead for bowls in Wales steps down
Peter Brill will be known by many across the bowling community, for his role as the safeguarding lead for outdoor and indoor bowls.
John Phillips from the WBA and WIB said, “Peter Brill has acted as the safeguarding officer for the WBA, WIB and its predecessor the WIBA for more than ten years, on that period of time he has devoted his time to ensuring that both outdoor and indoor bowls clubs in Wales were made aware of the importance of safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults.
Peter was passionate and dedicated to his role in our organisations and his retirement leaves a big hole that will be hard to fill.
The WBA and WIB wish Peter all the best for the future and look forward to seeing him on the green in the not too distant future. Thank you Peter from all of the officers and members of the WBA and WIB.”
Peter was also the lead officer for BowlsWales and during his time went above and beyond his role as a volunteer. We thank him for his dedication and contributions to safeguarding bowls in Wales.
Claire Biddle, BowlsWales Development Manager said “We would like to Thank Peter for his dedication, he has been a tremendous asset and we are grateful for his service.”
