BowlsWales‘ disappointment following Welsh Government latest announcement

There was no relaxation of rules governing the area relating to bowls in the First Minister ‘s statement today and BowlsWales shares its disappointment with many bowlers across Wales who were hoping for Lawn Bowls and Crown Green Bowls to be allowed to return to play like our neighbouring countries.

Over the last three weeks BowlsWales has been working closely with Sport Wales and Welsh Sports Association to ensure Bowls is ready to return with a Strategy and supporting documents in preparation for the announcement today. BowlsWales will continue its lobby of Welsh Government via the WSA and Sport Wales but have also reached out directly to the Director of Sport and Culture at Welsh Government- Jason Thomas. We will be updating our website and social media outlets as news unfolds.
