Winning ways for Welsh Juniors

Top juniors decended on Newport Indoor Bowls Club last week for the World Indoor Bowls Council’s World under 25 Championships. The three day event saw top players from Wales, Scotland, Ireland, England, Isle of Man, Gurnsey and Canada vying it out for the three titles up for grabs. Newport hosts World Bowls Competition

Wales has hosted many great sporting events and the City of Newport will be adding to that emphatic list when the Newport Indoor Bowls Centre plays host to the World Indoor Bowls Council Championships in December 2017. The championship will see seven countries including top players from Wales vying for the titles up for grabs which includes World Junior Men’s and Ladies Singles and Mixed Triples Championships. Jordan Davies, Ffion Jones, Seren Jones, Ross Owen, Daniel Salmon and Amy Williams will all be competing during this 3-day festival of bowls, which promises to deliver some top-class competition and exciting play.
