WELSH LEARNING DISABILITY PAIRS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2020

  On Sunday 23rd February, 36 bowlers took to the green at Cardiff Indoor Bowls Club to see who would be the Welsh Learning Disability Pairs Champions for 2020. Well done to all competitors who took part in this, the first Welsh Learning Disability Indoor Bowls Pairs Championship. Some tremendous bowling was witnessed by over 90 Coaches, Supporters and Officials. Bowlers from Pembroke, Radnorshire, Islwyn, Rhondda and 21 bowlers from Cardiff Chameleons took part in round robin competitions in three separate classifications. Wales Win BIIBC U25 International Series

Whilst many eyes were on Broadbeach and the Commonwealth Games in recent weeks, domestic matters continued to reach a climax for the 2017/2018 indoor season. Our young bowlers competitions are well respected and long established, and have been running for over 20 years. Frantic Five

Congratulations to the junior team from Rhondda Indoor Bowls Club who were recently crowned the inaugural champions of the new WIBA Frantic Five competition. The inaugural Frantic Five competition took place on Sunday 8th April at Radnorshire Indoor Bowls Club. The competition was organised by the WIBA to encourage young bowlers to play competitively in a team environment, whilst having fun and embracing the spirit of the game.
