BowlsWales and the National Governing Bodies (WBA, WWBA, WIBA, WLIBA, WCGBA, WSMBA) welcome the Welsh Government’s movement to bring forward the easing of restrictions and that in doing so they have sought to prioritise sport and exercise.
The Welsh Government have issued a written statement, and due to the improving coronavirus situation in Wales dates for the return of sport have been brought forward.
- Outdoor Group activity for up to 30 adults can restart from the 26 April, where it had previously been the 3 May.
- Indoor sporting facilities, including gyms, leisure centres and swimming pools will be able to reopen on the 3 May for individual activity, previously the 10th May.
- Gatherings of up to 15 indoors for exercise classes etc will return on the 17th May, as previously planned.
BowlsWales and the National Governing Bodies (WBA, WWBA, WCGBA, WIBA, WLIBA & WSMBA) are working together in producing specific guidelines for each code of the game to reflect the anticipated review announcement on 23rd April. Any support or guidance will be found on the BowlsWales and National Governing Bodies Websites or alternative you can contact your NGB Secretary.
